10 Ways To Make A Living From Home Without A Degree

Woman working from home on her bed.

Do you still think you need a degree to make a living? I’m a mom to 4, I don’t have a degree, and I work from home and make more money than most of people I know who have degrees. And I DON’T do it by selling MLM products to my family and friends. Oh, and I don’t have tens or hundreds of thousands of dollars of student loan debt to pay off. At no time in history has there ever been this much opportunity to generate an income and scale it through self education at home.

The online world of income is a modern gold mine and anyone with the determination to take advantage of it can do so.

Here are 10 ways you can make an actual living from home without a degree:

1. Start a Youtube Channel.

You can make a Youtube channel for free, with virtually no expenses to start out. You can monetize your channel through affiliate links and eventually ads that can be run on your channel. Lots of people make enough money to live very comfortable just by creating Youtube Videos!

2. Start a blog.

Maybe videos aren’t your thing, but writing is. Blogging can be done on virtually any topic and as long as you use relevant keywords and blog consistently, your blog will gain traffic and then you can use affiliate links to monetize it! Starting a blog is easier than it’s ever been and people are eager to read them. A great resource for starting a getting started with blogging is Pat Flyn’s blogging tips here.

3. Become a Freelancer.

Freelancing isn’t just for graphic designers. If you have any marketable skills whatsoever, you can put them up for hire at different freelancing websites. Can you plan vacations? Meal plan? Decorate? Proofread? Organize? Are you tech-savvy? A fitness expert? Whatever you are good at–people will hire you if the price is right. You can market your skills at sites like Fiverr or Upwork.

4. Become an Instagram Influencer.

You can get paid to post photos of yourself or your family using different products and services! It may take some time to build a following but it doesn’t take having a TON of followers to get brand deals. You just need to be authentic, have loyal followers, and post consistently to attract paying promotions. You can learn more about becoming an instagram influencer through Lauren Tickner’s course Impact Through Influence.

5. Create an online course.

Do you have a skill or area of expertise that other people would like to learn? It could be anything! Ask your friends and family what they think you’re good at. Dropshipping is the easiest and cheapest form of ecommerce to start with. If you’ve ever wanted to sell products online, dropshipping can be a great gateway into that world. If you didn’t already know, dropshipping is selling someone else’s products in your online store. They ship the products to your customers for you and you keep the profit. If you’re already spending a lot of time on social media, why not make it work for you? Social Media Managers vary in the type of content they provide, tasks they perform, and platforms they work on.
